May - Jace's Graduation Part 2

I don't have any pictures of the ceremony as they encouraged us to sit back and relax.  They gave us a complimentary DVD afterward.  :)

First, they had a processional...

Then the kids sang a couple of songs.  Jace even had a solo in "Rainbow Connection" that he kept a secret from us!  He started the song...

"Why are there so many songs about rainbows
and what's on the other side?
Rainbows are visions, but only illusions
and rainbows have nothing to hide."

He did great!  Each kid also had a little part of poem that they had memorized.  Jace's was...

"We do what we see, and say what we hear
You're our teacher throughout the years."

Then they all received their diplomas.  They called each child's name...

...and read a little interview they had completed.
This is what they read for Jace.

After they received their diplomas, they all danced out to "Can't Stop the Feeling."
It was ridiculously cute!

Afterward...

With Zoee...  :)

Not sure if you can read this, but this was Jace's report card.
It was filled with such nice comments.
Jace is truly the sweetest child!

May - Jace's Graduation

Jace graduated from preschool this year.  He'll be starting Kindergarten at my school next year! Where did the time go?  The graduate...

His graduation was in the evening so Jon, Rylee, and I could attend (my parents had already left for the season).  He looks quite handsome and grown up.

With Daddy...

With Mommy...

With his very proud (and pretty) sister...

May- American Girl Tea

Rylee's friend, Josephine, invited us to the American Girl Store for her birthday.  We've always wanted to go so we all got dressed up: me, Rylee, and her new doll, Lea (a Christmas gift from Gaga).

Rylee and Lea at lunch...

With Josephine and her doll
(sorry I'm really bad with names so I can't remember hers  Lol!).

Lea really enjoyed her special chair and cup.

Lea also got her hair styled while we were there.

Showing off her fishtail braid.

Josephine's doll got her hair done too.

Lea splurged on a new outfit and boots.

A closeup of her hair too.  Lea really got pampered!

It was such a lovely day and experience.  We would ALL love to go again.  :)

May - Misc

Jon had to fixup the redneck waterslide this year.
The kids were ecstatic for the reopening.  :)

The kids and I attended a stem night at my school.
They did all kinds of experiments and had a blast.

Jace's GF Zoee came with her sister, Marlee.  When they saw each other,
they ran across the room and hugged.  It was quite the sight!

The kids love having sleepovers with each other.  They can share a bed in Rylee's room or use the blow up bed in Jace's.  When my parents moved into their condo, we inherited a trundle bed for the guest room.  On this night, they set up their bed tents in the spare room.  A whole new take on camping!  Next time we'll roast marshmallows over the gas stove too.  lol!

May- Jace's 5th Birthday

Of course, we had to celebrate Jace's actual birthday too.  Duh!

Opening presents...

...like this awesome over the door basketball hoop from the cousins...

...lots of lego gifts that he had to put together right away...

... his "tire" shoes!

Quick story: Jace said the only thing he wanted for his birthday was "tire" shoes.  I had no idea what this meant or what they looked like.  It took lots of days of questioning and probing before I realized he was saying "tier" shoes - shoes with laces!  Lol!  Luckily, Gaga and Papa found him some.  :)

Cupcake time!

Happy 5th Birthday Jace!  We all love you!

May - Jace's Party

Jace has been with the same bunch of kids in his preschool the last couple of years so we decided to throw him a "friend" party this year before they all separate to different elementary schools.  (Lucky for Jace, girl friend Zoee will be going to the same school.)

Jace picked a bounce house party.  It was us, Gaga and Papa, and Jace's friends: Madison, Miller and Mason, Micah and Maddox, Connell, Addison and Ethan, Virat, Zoee and Marlee.

He also picked a Hot Wheels theme and helped me decorate the cake.

He added 5 cars since he was turning 5.  Perfect!

Some sliding fun...

Cake time...

Play time...

Zoee (this was right after she literally picked Jace up
off the ground in a giant bear hug!).  Awww!

It was a great party!

May - Field Trip

Jace had a lot of firsts at school this year.  His first bus ride and off-site field trip.  Check!  They went to a play, but I can't remember the title.  The chaperone shared a few pics from the day.

On the bus with Micah (girlfriend Zoee is peeking over the seat).
I think he sat with her on the way back if I remember correctly.  :)

With his class (he's the last one on the left).

As you can see from his huge smile, he loved every minute of it.  :)
