Monday - Legoland

Jace is super into legos so we decided to do Legoland on our last day since it's on the drive home from Orlando.

The rides are pretty tame, but this double decker carousel was neat.

A lego pit - ouch!  Doesn't look like he minds though...

The coolest thing was Legoland USA.
They had a huge Star Wars exhibit!

Jace refused to stand next to Darth Vader (even though he fought him two days before!).

"Help me, Obi Wan Kenobi.  You're my only hope!"

Sunday - Sea World

Sea World was the big draw for Jon and Rylee.  They have three monster coasters there.  We wanted to be there early and in fact we were one of about 20 cars waiting outside the gate to park and Jon and Rylee were officially the first two people into the park.  We split up again, but we met up more often to do other rides and attractions between their coaster trips.  They went so many times I'm surprised they could walk straight!

Jace and I loved the penguin ride.  We had no idea it took us into the penguin exhibit!

Brrrr!

I ended up feeding the slimey, smelly fish to the seals.

Jace couldn't wait to take Rylee on our favorite ride.

It was a great way to kick off the holidays!

Jedi Academy Pics

Rylee was smiling the whole time she fought Darth Vader.
The Jedi said "keep smiling, it confuses him."  The whole crowd laughed.

The mic cut out when Jace was up there, but he was really into it...

...look at his jump!  :)

We love our Star Wars!

Saturday - Hollywood Studios

First up was Hollywood Studios.  Jon and Rylee pretty much did their own thing.  They wanted to ride all the coasters and scary rides.  I had to stay with Jace on all the kid rides (thank goodness!).

We went on all the Star Wars rides and the Toy Story ride twice.  It was really fun.

The line was long for Toy Story, but we played eye spy for an hour.
Jace was a trooper!

We stopped to get a few character pics...

I was able to get both kids into the Jedi Training Academy so we met up
with Jon and Rylee in the afternoon.  I have better pics later I'll put in another post.  Basically the kids do a training.  Then the walk through the park chanting.  And then they get to battle on this outdoor stage.  I'm so glad they got to do it!

During the training part, they kept asking people's parents to make a wookie sound.  They were awful.  Then the asked Jon and he pulled out his wookie that he does for the kids all the time.  It was awesome!  The crowd was impressed.  :)

A few more Star Wars pics...

We can never make it past 5 or 6.  It's just too exhausting.  Bye Disney!

Back at the hotel with their treasures...

December - Disney Trip (Friday night)

When Rylee turned 5, we took her to Disney.  So since Jace turned 5 last May, he's been asking to go.  We decided to go to Hollywood Studios (for all the Star Wars stuff), Sea World (for all the roller coasters) and Legoland (for all the legos!).

We stayed at a really fun hotel with a water park.  The kids managed to swim twice even though we had limited time.  :)

The chefs at the hotel restaurant made the kids dairy-free smoothies and waffles.
That's not the chef.  Lol!
Possibly a cousin to the Swedish Chef though...

Enchilada Madness

Over the long weekend, Jon, Rylee and I made the the Polich family's "Sportsman Club" enchiladas. It's a recipe for 72 (or something like that) and takes all day.

It's sooo worth it though.
We're still eating them out of the freezer.  :)

November Recap - Thanksgiving

Thanksgiving feast at school...

Brave Dog later at home.  "Some mens don't wear shirts."

Thanksgiving was at the Froyds this year...

...but before we left, the kids went down the block to see Ray and Jeanette.
They have become like extra grandparents to the kids.
They never forget an occasion (even if the card is
sometimes addressed to Jake Polvich).  Lol!  They are the sweetest!
