So my parents received this skeleton (Nancy) from their neighbors (outfit included). My parents had put her out as a joke for the kids when we arrived. Then we started taking turns hiding her around the resort and sending pictures to Jon (because he thought it was completely stupid and annoying which made it even more fun!).
If Papa is busy, we usually don't take the pontoon out by ourselves. The kids will just paddle out past the weeds on the paddle board. Sometimes they pull a tube or even me on the lilypad!
The kids love spending time on the water. Papa and I took them out every day that was nice (which was a lot since we were in a serious drought).
The first couple of weeks, we had so much fun watching the momma fox and her three pups. They would run and play all up and down in front of our house every morning and evening. It was so cute. Rylee took some nice photos too.
It finally occurred to us to celebrate Father's Day early for Jon. (He usually misses out since we are already in MN.) Rylee took charge making Jon tater tot casserole for lunch (she'd always wanted to try it), mini meatloafs, green beans, and homemade fries for dinner, and gourmet chocolate rice krispie treats for dessert. She is getting to be one "good cooker" (to borrow a phrase from my parents Canadian neighbor).
