MN Summer - Week 4 (Part 1)

Tues - Jon's flight was delayed so we spent the afternoon/evening with the cousins before heading over to pick Jon (and Rio) up.  As you can see, the kids were pretty excited to see their Dad.  :)

Wed - we spent the day (and evening) with the cousins having lake fun

Thurs - was the first day of Rylee's summer reading program at the library (it's the first year she's been old enough to participate), then we spent the day with the cousins

Jace was excited to get in the water, but only lasted about 2 minutes!

Rylee got brave enough to jump off the dock this year....

She even jumped off the raft!

That night we all went to Rafferty's to celebrate Aunt Laurie's birthday (we celebrated a day early since Jon's class reunion was the next night).

MN Summer - Week 3

Tues - I took the kids to see Inside Out (Jace's first movie theater experience!), Big Grandpa Bob visit

Wed - storyhour at the library, playdate with Chelsie & the boys (Frankie, Will, & Louie), dinner at Rafferty's with Gaga and Papa

Thurs - Rylee & Meg day: after Rylee's dance class, I took the girls to the waterpark for the afternoon

Fri - coffee with Penney, Mom and I shopped at Ruttger's, Sara came over for dinner and visiting

Sat - Gaga, Jace and I had our hair cut in Aitkin (Rylee came along too), visit with Darlene, Kayleen's graduation party

Sun - roadtrip to Duluth for Ian's graduation party

Mon - playtime in the cabin (aka Clubhouse #8), Rylee's dance

MN Summer - Week 2 (Part 2)

Sun - was Father's Day.  Papa opened his gifts and we had a delicious brunch.

Later the kids played outside on the slip and slide.  The hill makes it extra slidey.  

Howard came up to the cabin for the day so we had a nice dinner with him and a pontoon ride to cap off the day. 

Mon - Rylee & Jace's doctor appts/errands in Brd

That night we watched a horse movie so the kids had to get their cowgirl...

MN Summer - Week 2 (Cute Pics)

MN Summer - Week 2 (Part 1)

Tues - VBS (Jace started going for the last half hour each day - he loved learning all the songs),
we had lunch and a visit with Grandpa Chip & Connie, that night Vern came over to help with our wifi problem and brought along Heather and the kids for a fun visit (those kids have so much fun playing together and, unfortunately for Vern, it turned into an all night affair!)

Wed - VBS for Rylee, Storyhour at the library for Jace, Mom and I had a girls shopping afternoon in Brd.

That night Papa, Rylee and I also got our for the first pontoon ride of the season!

Thurs - VBS, park play for Rylee and Jace, a drop in visit with Big Grandpa Bob, and pontoon ride #2 (with Gaga and Jace this time)

Fri - last day of VBS: Gaga and Papa came to the last half hour that day so they could see Rylee perform all the songs she learned that week, Papa and Jace hung out while Gaga, Rylee and I did some shopping in Brd.

Sat - our friend's from Holland (Joop, Gre and Hank) came over for brunch,

my parents had a wedding that night (Mitch and Sue's) so the kids and I had to fend for ourselves

MN Summer - Week 1

Tues - travel day (It was delightful - it marked the first time I've read on the plane since the kids were born!  It was a log day, but the kids were troopers.)

Wed - unpacking day

Thurs - getting stuff together to sell in Meg's garage sale (she needs money for her dance trip next year to Orlando)

Fri - visited Meg (& her family) at the sale

Sat - visited Big Grandpa Bob
I took Rylee, Meg & Max to see Jurassic World.  We all loved it!  (Meg had to watch it with one shoe since her flip flop broke as we walked into the movie theater.  Lol!), Heather, Vern & Bart stopped to pick up the kids which turned into an impromptu get together

Sun - I can't remember what we did that day and that was before I was keeping track.  :)

Mon - Rylee started Vacation Bible School (VBS - 3 hours a day for one week)  She loves the music and crafts and she saw several of her friends from kindergarten and dance!  Rylee also started her private dance/gymnastic lessons.

Catch Up 7 - Last Days of School

The last day of school for Rylee was her party day.  They had a beach theme so she got to wear her swimsuit and beach wear.  (We laughed because she wore this same flamingo shirt on her last day at C-I Kindergarten too.  Although she wore a long sleeve shirt under it since it was mid-December!)

Her teacher sent me this photo from the party.  So cool indeed!

The next day Jon stayed home with the kids since I had to pack up my classroom.  Rylee had mentioned in the morning that she wanted to do a lemonade stand.  Since she has her daddy pretty much wrapped around her finger, this is what they made:

Rylee made the top sign.  Not wanting to be left out, Jace made the scribbles on the bottom sign.  The first pitcher was homemade with fresh squeezed lemons!  A neighbor from around the corner stopped and bought three glasses with her kids.  A few minutes later she stopped back with more kids and bought another eight glasses finishing off the first pitcher.

We set up the stand again after dinner and I was surprised at the turnout.  People walked over, stopped theirs cars or bikes.  Rylee sold three more pitchers that night and we met some wonderful families.  At one point, we had about 9 kids playing in our front yard while enjoying their lemonade!  Rylee can't wait to have another one.  She's thinking about selling her perler bead creations too.  :)
