Feb - Dog Show

Gaga, the kids and I went to a dog comedy show at the city's theater.  

We all love those acts on America's Got Talent.  

The show was pretty cute and funny.  At the end, you could go up and 

get your picture taken with the dogs.

You gotta love cheap family entertainment!

Feb Recap

So some of the school stuff I posted happened in Jan not Dec, oops.  I'm sure you'll forgive me.  

That means we can skip ahead to Feb.  Yeah! 

I love these two photos of Jace.

He was doing a blubber experiment.  One hand was in the ice water 

and one hand was warmed by the "blubber."

February was also bring your child to work day.  Rylee got to help in my classroom for the first time.

My kids loved her.  She helped them, graded papers, etc.  It was so much fun having her with me.

Mother/son date.  Rylee and Jon were at a fishing birthday party 

so Jace and I went to monster mini golf and then the drive in for lunch.

Rylee was the only person in her class to make the A honor roll for winter quarter.  I was kind of mad at her since I always tell her not to make the A honor roll since I don't want her to have to feel pressured to keep that up.  The advanced classes are hard enough without that pressure.

Misc & New Year's Eve

I inadvertently took a photo of the kids that was almost a recreation of a photo from when the kids were little.  Look at the the difference.  Oh my how they've grown!

The kids love to sleepover at my parents so they had an overnight so 

Jon and I could have a date night.

This was one of Rylee's favorite Christmas presents.  It's a CI Dance team shirt that says "Captain Meg's Lil Sis."  Rylee adores Megan so this was the sweetest surprise!

On to New Year's Eve.  We had the best night with the Froyds.  The kids played...

...and the adults played...

...and then we all had a massive nerf gun fight!  It was an awesome way to ring in 2018!

American Girl Visit

Rylee, Gaga, and I went to the American Girl store during break.

We had lunch in the American Girl restaurant...

...and then found the best deals on clothes.  Leah got a whole new wardrobe.  

She modeled everything for us when we got back to Gaga and Papa's condo.

We're definitely going to go back the same time next year to see if we can get more good deals.

Christmas

We had a nice Christmas and holiday break.  Grandpa Chip and Connie were with us, 

and my Mom and Dad too. I must have taken most of the pics on my good camera, 

but I have a few pics from my cell phone.

Rylee got a TV and Wizard of Oz pajamas from Santa.

Jace got Power Ranger pajamas and the lego Millenium Falcon

or the Falcium as he calls it.  :)

It was almost 1000 pieces.  It took 12 hours over 3 days, but he's a mini Jon.

Misc December

 I looked through Jon's photos and found a couple of things I missed.

Our table had to make the highest marshmallow chair with just spagetti and string.  

Jace and Jon were great at this.  I was more the cheering section.  Lol!

December Recap

So I'm a little behind on blogging... Lol!  

Luckily summer is the season for catching up, so let's head back to December.  

Here are the highlights...

Jace started karate!  If you wish you can say "kar-a-te" like you're Ross from Friends.  It's funnier.

Jace had his heritage project.  We chose Swedish for him too.  

This would have been a Fun Friday.  No idea what theme this was since none of these 

three are dressed the same.  Hmmm....

Rylee's first choir concert.  I took all videos so there aren't any pics.  Oops!  

She had two speaking parts and she did awesome of course, very theatrical this one.

Rylee's class party day before the winter break.  I mistakenly thought it was a pajama day so Rylee went to class dressed like this.  Later I found out it wasn't pajama day!  Total mom fail!  

She was a trooper though.  She laughed it off and just put a sweatshirt over her pjs.  I felt bad when I found out so I bought her a uniform t-shirt and she borrowed a skirt from the front office.  When I saw her, I asked if she was mad at me.  She laughed and said of course not!  What a kid!

Jace's party day was dress like a character from Whoville (and yes I got that one right).

We took a few silly pieces and Gaga made a crazy t-shirt.  He looks like he could party with the Grinch if you ask me.  :)

The last day before break was the real pajama day.  Lol!
