MN Vacay Week 6 - Cedar Crest!

Tues - morning visit with Jan Graham, Despical Me 3 movie day for the kids and I
We saw my cousin Lisa, her daughter Cheyenne, and her twin girls there along with some others.  We made an impromptu park play date at Serpent Park. Rylee had so much fun chasing the twins around. That night Rylee had her first "Flipsters" class.

Wed - My parents bought a "new" old pontoon - it's BYOC (bring your own chair)... Lol!  Now we have a crappy pontoon for both lakes.  What can I say?  That's how we roll... or float!  :)

My parents also bought the kids a slackline.  

It was so much fun!  

That afternoon Meg came over so she and Rylee could have their sleepover in Cabin 8.  They watched movies and we delivered them snacks.  They made it the whole night (I was worried Rylee would get scared and they would have to come inside).  Not at all - they wanted to do it again!

Thurs - Gaga took the kids to get pre-Cedar Crest haircuts while I ran up to Crosslake for a dala horse painting class.  I'm a bit dala horse obsessed these days...

That night the kids treated us to a slackline performance (wish I would have video'd), and then the girls watched "Murder She Baked" movies snuggled up in Gaga's bed.  Rylee is obsessed with Hallmark murders and mysteries!

Fri - Cedar Crest packing day, Descendants 1 and Descendants 2 movie premiere!

Sat - Cedar Crest 2017 begins: driving...

Sun - breakfast at the lodge, kids swim/play day (too cold for the adults!)...

Mon - breakfast at the cabin, swim day with the kids this time, dinner at the lodge, Bingo night (Bart won!), and Mexican train dominoes

This was my project for the week.  I made Cedar Crest bobber ornaments for all of us.  :)

MN Vacay Week 5

Tues - Sara dropped me off from our girl's overnight and stayed for breakfast, it was the cousins' last day so time for the cousin photo shoot.

It's always a challenge, 

but we managed to get some cute shots...

Wed - Gaga, Rylee and I had a girls lunch and shopping day in Crosslake.

Thurs - Gaga and I ran errands while Jace made Rylee and Papa play Battleship all day (he became quite obsessed!)

Fri - Sara and I had our girl's trip: we decided to go to Duluth.  We had fun on the drive and even worked a stop in at the McGregor bakery.  We went to Canal Park for shopping and lunch.  Then we toured the Glensheen Mansion (I hadn't been since I was in elementary school).  It was a little early for dinner so we climbed to the top of Enger Tower and took in the view.  Then we had dinner at the Duluth Diner (they are famous for their pies!).
