Pet Peeve

Why do kids pick at their table numbers (which are taped to the middle of the table)? I've seen 9 different classes a day for four days now and everyone of them does it - doesn't matter what grade, boy/girl, etc.

I just taped my table numbers down on Monday morning and they are already almost destroyed! Is duct-taping kids' hands to the table frowned upon? :)

Booked

Jon was hogging the computer last night so I couldn't get on to blog. I decided to forgive him, however, since he was researching hotels for our 10th wedding anniversary getaway weekend.

I'm sooo excited! We're not leaving until Sept 25th (a few weeks after the 11th), but we wanted to wait for my three-day weekend from school. We're only heading up to Orlando, but since Jon and I haven't really been on a "vacation" vacation together since 2008... we're due for a couple of nights away!

Thanks go out to my Mom for agreeing to watch Ryleekins (& Rio). :)

Missing Mommy

Rylee has been such a love this weekend. She crawls (or staggers) over to me, reaches to be picked up and then just snuggles with me. On Saturday, she had her head buried into my shoulder and was even making these little "hmmm" noises. It was so dang cute!

In other cuteness, today I threw all the pillows off the couch and onto the floor. She spent like a half an hour crawling over them, diving on them, burying herself. It was so funny! I tried to make a fort by throwing a sheet over the whole mess, but she only wanted me to crawl inside. It was a pretty tight squeeze, but I made it. Maybe next time she'll be brave enough to join me...

Technical Difficulties

I was MIA (again) due to some technical difficulties with my "Flintstone's" computer. I really hope I can upgrade to a "Jetson's" computer by the year end.

Looking back at my last post, I was wondering "what tomorrow would bring." FYI: Thursday brought the discovery that my sub account had somehow gone inactive. Since they couldn't tell me what was wrong, I had to go into work on Friday as a "volunteer." It looks like everything is squared away now and I will get paid for last week, but really - what is with me lately? Anyone know any good anti-curses or god-sacrifices (preferably that don't involve blood - I tend to be on the squeamish side)? If so, let me know...

I hope to get caught up on blog reading tomorrow (before I head into what surely will be a crazy first week of school). As for tonight, it's past my bedtime. Goodnight!
