December part 3

 Christmas...

Rylee got a new push cart for her golf bag.

Jace got some new video games and a nerf gun.

Rylee crocheted these can coozies for the men.
Of course they were happy to use them!

Rylee got this diamond dots kit from someone.
Jon became rather obsessed with it and
worked on it WAY more than Rylee did.
We weren't sure what was funnier, that he was
working with sparkly little dots or that
he was wearing my purple reading glasses so he could see!

As you could guess, the next picture was him flipping us off!  :)

Jon had the week off, hence the boredom and projecting.
We also had fun taking the kids to Top Golf...

Even I had fun there and I don't golf.

I know we went bowling and
we also took a hike one day.

I think we just had dinner and stayed home for New Years.
I didn't see any pics that would help spark my memory!

December part 2

We're up to the holidays and Christmas break!

Rylee and I went to the Christmas tree museum with all the themed trees.  It was closed the Covid year so we were excited to go back, but were disappointed to find out that they still don't have a Harry Potter tree!  I'm pretty sure we voted for it again.  :)

The kids and I made gingerbread cookies.

I took the kids and Emily ice skating.
I took my two kids back one more time over break...

...because Rylee loves to ice skate.

'

The kids made each other homemade gifts.
Rylee wrote and illustrated another story for Jace.
She did a Mario theme this time.
Jace made Rylee some Pokemon perler bead designs.

Speaking of homemade gifts, we did a homemade
gift exchange with the Polich crew this year too
(we drew names and made a gift for that person).

Laurie and Maddie made these cute and colorful
confetti bowls for Rylee and me.

Ben made this awesome Lego J for Jace and
Connie sewed this cool golf towel for Jon.

Rylee made this beautiful lake sign for Grandpa Chip.
(She made an Agate Lake one for my parents too.)

Jon made this super cool frame out of old
hockey sticks for Ben.

I embroidered a design on an apron for Maddie.
I also made her a plastic canvas luggage tag with her initial (missing pic though).

Jace went with an Eagles theme for Nick.
He colored their Mascot and framed it.
He also made an Eagles helmet perler bead.
I can't seem to find that picture though either.  Sorry Jace!

Dec 2021 part 1

I'm almost up to the current year.  I'm making progress!  Let's see what my photos remember about December.  :)

Actually, there is one thing I don't necessarily have pictures of, but I can clearly remember: our Saturdays.  Every Saturday afternoon/evening, Jon golfs in a scramble so the kids and I would go hang out at my parent's condo, play games, and have dinner.  Once a month or so, Rylee has to fill in for one of the foursome so I'll drop her off at the course and then Jace and I will go have mother/son time (bowling, mini golf, arcade etc.).  Then we'd pick Rylee up and still go to my parents since Jon always stays later and plays extra rounds.  It's become such a fun Saturday tradition.  :)

Gaga taught Rylee how to make her apple pies!

The kids went swimming in their wet suits.  Another tradition!

We met my friend and old co-teacher, Alexis,
at the big light display.  It was fun to visit and see
the sights together.

Rylee joined Color Guard this year.
They're the flag twirlers and dancers that accompany the marching band.
She participated in the holiday lights parade.

We dropped her off, had a nice dinner, and then met up with the Froyds.
Miller is in the band for his school so they were also there.
It was really fun watching the parade and the kids did
an awesome job!

I only have video of Rylee, but here she is afterward
snuggling with Jace and some adorable
teddy bears that a student in my class gave me.

One of the things Jace missed out on in third grade was
Ms. Mucci's store.  The kids get to shop for gifts
for their families.  She let him shop this year instead.

He picked out this Santa mug for Jon.

Rylee got an ornament and a bracelet
(which I stole!).

I got these ornaments and you can see I'm wearing the bracelet.
It was a little big for Rylee and it turns out I love it.
It's coral and it goes with many of my tops.  I've worn it a lot!

Thanks Jace!

Nov 21 Recap

If I didn't take a picture of it, I can't remember what we did.  So here's what my photo stream remembers about last November.

We made a batch of the Sportmans Club enchiladas.  Yum!

Jace took a selfie of all of us!

We had our annual parade for Veteran's Day at school.

We got dressed up and had our pictures taken by my friend, Kristen.
We needed to update the family photos in our house.

Rylee babysat Stella?
I don't really remember, but she's always fun to watch
(if you can get her to eat and go to the bathroom!).

My parents arrived and we had Thanksgiving together!
They hadn't come down the previous year with Covid
so it was nice to have them back in the state.

Father/daughter...

Mother/son.

We definitely had a lot to be thankful for!

October 2021

October turned into a crazy month for me.  Jon was gone for his usual couple of weeks hunting which meant I had pickup duty for Rylee every day.  Then when he came back, he brought Covid with him so we had to quarantine him for 10 days!  That meant more pickup days for me.  I'm not sure how I survived.  Leaving work on time is hard for me!  Lol

I also had to sleep on the floor in the loft and get ready in the kids bathroom.  It was an adventure!

Luckily, Jon wasn't very sick.  He was mostly bored and not eating well because in a an opposite symptom from most people - he tasted everything too much!  :)

He came out of quarantine in time for Rylee's golf championship (which she qualified for again this year - way to go Rylee!).  I was in need of a day off so I was able to attend this year as well.  It was a great day!

Shannon qualified for the tournament as well.
They didn't golf together, but they enjoyed hanging out at the banquet.

Most of October was a blur, but we did make time for some Halloween activities.

Rylee went to a Halloween dance at her middle school.
We all went to a trunk or treat with the Moraes.
We did a Pokemon theme this year.  Rylee made my Pokeball for me.  :)

The Moraes boys were characters from Among Us:

Jace was Ash Ketchum:

Rylee was Nurse Joy:

Jon also helped the kids carve these cool pumpkins.
Pikachu and Mike Wazowski from Monsters Inc.

We also went with the Moraes to a fall festival and
trick or treat event on Halloween night...

before passing out candy at our house.

This gets me wondering what our costumes will be this year??

Sept 21 - The Rest

The rest of September was just getting back into the swing of school and the kids starting their activities (theater, golf, guitar etc.).

Rylee also volunteered to do some dog-sitting.  First up was the Froyd pooch: Stella.

We also watched the Moraes pup: Mabel.

Unlike Rio, Mabel is happy to snuggle!
Rylee also become an expert crochet-er this year,
this is when she first started honing her craft.  :)

Rylee's first golf meet of the season was rained out.
She and Shannon still managed to entertain themselves.  Lol
They are the extent of the girls golf team.  :)

Jace's introductory poem and self-portrait.
A 4th grade staple project!

Next up, October!

Rylee's 13th birthday part 2

The horseback riding was a day or two before Rylee's birthday so we celebrated twice of course!

Rylee indulged me and wore this sash and crown.

We did a couple of zoom calls with the family...

and had lunch at Yard House (Rylee loves their shrimp tacos).

They even gave her a free yummy dessert!

Afterward, we visited Rylee's birthday buddy, Mason.

That night, we had the layer cake that Rylee and I made.

It was Jace's jam, he gave it two thumbs up!

All in all, it was a sweet 13th birthday for the sweetest girl!
