After the parade, it's picnic time. For many years, my parents have been hosting a picnic for the Rinde and Mooers clan. They say this was the last year... we'll see. Not that it won't be fun to head over to the Beer Gardens in the park. We missed it this year (along with the street dances - we were too tired... and lame apparently!).
Here's a pic with some of the Mooers crew:
Later in the afternoon, we head out to Polich's to finish out the day. Jon's cousin's, Jenny & Audrey, are always there. Love them!
We always try to get great shots with all the kids, but they usually turn out more like this...
When it's all said and done, everyone's tuckered out. Here's Rylee catching some rest on a flipped over lawn chair. Don't judge, when you're tired, you're tired! :)
Rylee was indeed too tuckered out to watch the fireworks. Jon and the Polich crew went out on Serpent lake and watched the spectacular show (it's Crosby's centennial this year so it was a big event). I sacrificed and went home to put Ryleekins to bed. Papa went out to the cabin to watch my Uncle Howard's fireworks display (an impressive one that had people on the other side of the Agate Lake cheering). My Mom, Sara and I watched the Crosby show from the deck. You can see everything but the really low ones and amazingly Rylee didn't even wake up from all the booming. All in all, it was another great 4th of July!
