August is back to school time for us. The kids and Rylee's best friend, Emily, came into work with me to help set up my classroom. They designed all my Harry Potter bulletin boards. They looked awesome!
"I solemnly swear I'm up to some good!"
My 5th graders love my Harry Potter theme.
They get sorted into houses and compete for house points each quarter.
Rylee also painted this patriotic picture for my classroom.
It hangs near my flag. :)
Both the kids were virtual the previous school year so
they were excited to get back into the classroom (even with masks).
Jace had two teachers: Forde and Rothbard.
For Rylee, it was her first time being in her middle school.
She doesn't have to wear a uniform anymore. :)
Can't forget me!
It was my 2nd year teaching 5th grade advanced,
but new subjects: reading and science.
(The year before I was reading, writing, and social studies.)
August flew by and with Rylee's birthday coming up, she wanted a guitar for FL.
(We left the other guitar in MN so she would have one for the summers.)
She found a great little mom and pop shop where we bought the guitar.
She also took lessons every Saturday all year.
Rylee also needed new golf clubs so she got those for her birthday too!
Which meant that Rylee's old clubs could be repurposed for Jace.
Here he is with his new bag. He took golf lessons every Saturday all year too.
Jon was excited to have another golfer in the family!
