I forgot how time consuming working full time is - no time for blogging! :)
Here's a recap of my first three days:
Day 1) no specials schedule, no email access, moved 10 tables and 60 chairs numerous times trying to set up enough seating for a class and a half
(P.S. heaviest oak MDF tables and chairs ever!, back totally sore!)
Day 2) 4 day specials rotation in the morning, 3 day specials rotation in the afternoon...say what?, several hours wasted and lesson plan templates discarded, learned that the library circulation system I trained on last Spring is being replaced (of course it is!)
Day 3) all day training on the new library circulation system
Can't wait to see what tomorrow brings! :)

At least you know Rylee is having a good time. Hope things get better!
So, do they still use the dewey decimal system in elementary school?
I know training is boring but after the week I am having, your job sounds like a cake walk. Want to trade for a week?
At least it will be better next week when the kiddos return to school. *Note to self, must leave earlier due to increase in traffic.
Whew! Yup, sounds like typical beginning of the semester craziness! Good luck, hope things settle down soon and that you have time to learn the new system before the munchkins arrive!
Shannon, E-mailed your dad's office today for some insurance info, and Diane reminded me of all the cute pictures you have on the blog of Rylee! She's a sweetie! It sounds like you are waiting to hear if you are a permanent employee again-- hope so. If it's any consolation, Tim now teaches high school age kids with behavior disorders...and he usually finds out what subjects he's teaching the week before school starts at the last inservice day. Makes for a fun Labor Day weekend here. We've had many, many area teachers laid off, so we try never to complain or joke about it-- a job's a job, but don't you think they might know just TWO weeks ahead if he's teaching math, music, social skills, or reading?
Glad you made it up to MN during the summer. We are now in the phase of parenthood to 8 and 11 year old boys, but did much with Tim's parents the last two years in Wisconsin before his dad died. We are there much of our free time right now, but it's what we're called to do, so...

PS Ballet is good, but in the one photo of Rylee on her toes near the piano... well, anyone can easily see she has the touch of a concert pianist, so don't forget about music lessons!
