Good News

We are much more hopeful today. It looks like there is a strong possibility that my mother-in-law will not require surgery. The doctors feel that the treatments she has been receiving are working and that in 2 to 4 days she may be able to be discharged from the hospital. Better yet, no surgery means she could continue on with her chemotherapy as scheduled.

She seems stronger and in better spirits. I just came from a great visit with her. We laughed a lot which is a good sign. That's not to say that she isn't a little stir crazy from being stuck in the hospital and she is so ready to have the tube removed that is sucking the gunk out of her stomach and intestines. It does not look comfortable (up the nose and down the throat) but she is fierce and determined when it comes to fighting this disease so you rarely hear her complain.

Keep those prayers, wishes, and good vibes coming her way as they are obviously working. Thanks!!

That is great news! Here's to a 2 day rather than 4 day stay before being discharged :)
